With the continuous development of the communication industry, people's awareness of Android smart terminal devices gained popularity, the smart phone market in most areas become mainstream handheld communications devi ces, Android smartphone has a strong multimedia and information management function, with unlimited expansion possible. LTE(Long Term Evolution, Long Term Evolution) is a 3GPP(Long Term Evolution, LTE) organizations to develop the UMTS(Universal Mobile Telecommunications System, Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) technology standard, is characterized by high-speed Internet access, large capacity, with the mobile Internet the rapid development of LTE terminal devices support more and more operators and consumers.An Android LTE smartphone project as the background, in this paper, it introduced the smart phone hardware solutions, and then give the detailed design of the overall software architecture and function of each communication module software Android smartphone communication module,include detailed description of SMS, voice calls, network services, data link functions from the application layer to the application layer and block the interaction process Ril(Radio Interface layer) layer, the main function of the communication module for the class to do a detailed explanation. And expounds the current mainstream program VOLTE under 4G network voice calls(Voice over LTE). The last communication module for Android SMS, voice calls, network services, data links, and other functions optimized and improved.Finally, the paper smartphone communication modules for functional and performance testing, and gives an analysis of the test results. Test results show that the design and implementation of this project Android LTE mobile phone communication module subsystem is expected to reach the goal, the end result has a good performance.In this paper, for the development and design of Android communication software module has a reference guide.
