Doing research actively about land ecological security evaluation, learning timely about status and trend of land ecological security, which plays an important role in guiding us use land rationally and design countermeasures in economic development. State environmental protection administration has also pointed out that China will build and develop the system of monitoring and warning in national ecological security. Based on the above background, this research have developed the system of land ecological security evaluation combining with the existing theories and methods of land ecological security evaluation, using visual programming technology(MATLAB GUI). We also have evaluated and predicted the land ecological security situation of Hebei province in time and space dimensions by using this system. The main findings as following:1. We have developed visualized, automatic system of land ecological security evaluation integrating visual programming technology(MATLAB GUI), database technology and mathematical model through the overall design, the theory design and detailed design.2. We were analyzed the situation of land use in Hebei province by using the system of land ecological security evaluation.(1) The changes of quantity and structure of land use in Hebei province has been analyzed respectively from time and space dimensions.(2) The land ecosystem service value of Hebei province also has been estimated. The values in 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008 are 1.92877234 billion yuan, 1.96638962 billion yuan, 1.96638962 billion yuan and 1.96057299 billion yuan respectively.3. The index system of land ecological security assessment in Hebei province is established based on the model of pressure- state- response(PSR)". Then we evaluated the land ecological security of Hebei province in 2003-2013 by using entropy value method and projection pursuit model through the system of land ecological security evaluation. Results getted by the model of projection pursuit can real reflect the actual situation of land ecosystem of Hebei province.(1) The results show that the land ecological security in Hebei province showed a trend of rising. The security status during the study changed from level "deteriorate" into "sensitive". The security status of 2003-2006 is in the "worse" level and 2007-2010 in the "risk" level and 2011-2013 in a "sensitive" level. But overall land ecological security level is low. Ecological environment destruction, ecosystem function degradation and other issues were also quite outstanding.(2) Correlation analysis showed that the main factors of the land ecological security in Hebei province include population density, the natural population growth rate, the unit load seeding to pesticide and fertilizer, construction land area per capita and so on.(3) Spatial clustering analysis shows that the situations of land ecological security about 11 cities in Hebei province in 2013 were divided into five types. Among them, the first category is "worse", as the Zhangjiakou; the second category of "risk" for Chengde city; the third kind is "sensitive", including Baoding, Cangzhou, Hengshui, Xingtai, fourth category is "safer", including Qinhuangdao, Tangshan, Langfang city, Handan city; fifth class as the "security level", as in Shijiazhuang.(5) The space difference analysis show that in 2003-2009, space difference of land ecological security in Hebei shows the tendency of decrease and the trend in 2009-2013 is slow and steady. But, until 2013, the space variation coefficient was 24.537%. Big spatial variation coefficient shows the current the space differences of land ecological security between cities in Hebei province is still significant.4. We have predicted the land ecological security of Hebei province in 2014-2020 by using gray prediction and markov prediction method through the system of land ecological security evaluation. Results getted by the markov prediction method could be more real to expose the potential of land ecosystem in Hebei province. Prediction results show that in the next 7a, land ecological pressure index, state index and response index and comprehensive index is on the rise. The security status of 2014-2016 is in the "sensitive" level and 2017-2018 in the "safer" level and 2019-2020 in a "security" level. It shows that land ecosystem of Hebei province in the next few years maintain good posture.5. At the end of the article some controle countermeasures are advised according to current situation of land ecological security in Hebei province:(1) To optimize the population structure, innovating the new pattern of population urbanization;(2) Speed up the industrial transformation, building the green industry system;(3) Balance urban and rural development, establishing scientific and reasonable system of urban and rural planning;(4) Use land rationally, impling differentiation of land policy;(5) Intensify protection of land ecological, establishing cooperative governance mechanism.
