When the laser beam is irradiated on the surface of the object, the scattered light of the object surface is formed by random superposition of the speckle pattern in the light field. The study shows that the laser speckle image contains some characteristic information of the measured object. Laser speckle images with objects unique, non-contact, fast speed, easy collection, high precision, easy to image processing such as many advantages and application of powder speckle image detection and recognition can be achieved, with broad application prospects.This paper of laser speckle images for analysis and research, summed up the laser spot image and the object corresponding relationship between, to lay the theoretical foundation for the target identification experiment; in-depth study of the SIFT algorithm, using SIFT algorithm of laser speckle image feature extraction, by building the experimental platform, the realization of laser speckle speckle image acquisition, on the same object of small displacement variables, objects of different materials, the same material object at different surface laser scattered speckle image matching recognition. Based on the experimental results, the feasibility of the target recognition based on the laser speckle pattern is preliminarily verified.
