As general display device, VGA graphics card is gradually becoming important part in computer. On professional fields such as industrial control, security monitoring, data communications, medical imaging, VGA embedded graphics card play important role at human-computer interaction, data analysis, computing control process.In industrial motherboard, security server, communication terminal to cloud, medical monitor electronic products design and process, display disorder is common, like blue screen, display no output, screen white, screen mess, equipment repeated restart, display water ripples or application crash. Whe product development and maintenance staff handling such failures, they need use system auxiliary tool get status of equipment first, then combined with software provided option do fault simulation, display problem replicate, system function run, chip logic verification, graphics parameter adjustment, test results confirm, at last technical problem solving.In order archieve above requirements, I sort common problems during display, based on SM750 hardware platform and Linux development environment, decomposite graphics image output process in operating system. After the decomposition I programme graphics card debugging software to run display function with single step, also state of device perform interactive feedback. Through technology of bus enumeration, address mapping and MMIO space, realized equipment comprehensive information acquisition, memory data real-time read write, display mode list and set in software. Using technology of Open GL, frame buffer architecture, color space conversion and ZV signal stacking, realized display function verified by software application. With debugging software programming, code development and this article written, industrial, security, communications, medical field engineering and technical personnel can quickly, accurately find product design or process display problems. More also can do base on customer demaned different systems to targeted graphics parameters adjust and program secondard re-development. The software is tested in detail do meet debug needs on different platforms.
