With the continuous progress of human society, electric energy has been widely used and rapid development in various fields of human, and also became one of the most indispensable energy in human society. Therefore, the research of power system becomes an important topic which is closely related to the national economy and the people's livelihood. This paper takes power system as working background, discusses some important problems coming from the tracking and estimation of parameter mutations in power signal, solves the problems of the traditional algorithms cannot provide good mutation tracking results, and also designs a software system for online testing and analyzing of the algorithms and signals. The main work in this paper is outlined as follows.(1)Firstly, the paper discusses the purpose and significance of the research about the parameter tracking and estimation of power system distortion signal. Then, it detailed introduces the current typical models of the power signal, and chooses the three sample sine wave model as the signal model. At the same time, this paper discusses the reasons for the mutation of the power signal parameters, and points out the importance of the research.(2)Secondly, this paper discusses the ideas and formulas of the extended Kalman filter(EKF) and the variance reset extended Kalman filter. And numerical experiments are carried out on the algorithms, to point out the shortcomings of them. After that, the paper presents an algorithm based on the real strong tracking filter(STF) to overcome the defects of the EKF and the variance reset EKF. In addition, through numerical experiments, the feasibility of the power signal parameter mutation tracking algorithm based on STF is further verified, and the STF can achieve fast and accurate tracking and estimation of the parameters(3)Finally, this paper designs and implements a power signal parameter mutation tracking software by using MATLAB and GUI. The software can realize the online algorithm implementation, and actualize the analysis and processing of the actual signal. At the same time, the software provides a platform for selecting different algorithm to track and estimate parameters mutation of power signal, so as to realize the power signal analysis, the preliminary exploration of power system control, and the analysis and assessment of different filtering algorithms.
