With the characteristics of low power consumption and low cost, Bluetooth 4.0 has been widely used in the field of short-range wireless communications. With the progress of society, Bluetooth low energy digital baseband has become increasingly important. Therefore, it is of great significance to design a lower complexity and resource consumption for Bluetooth low energy transmitter digital baseband circuit.A scheme of BLE 4.0 transmitter digital baseband circuit is designed in the thesis which focus on the problem that too many iterative times of the scaling-free Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer(CORDIC) algorithm is existed. On the basis of scaling-free algorithm, section folding techniques is used, which apply regional mapping, and ignore the effect of the scaling factor. At the same time the rotation angle can be calculated very quickly. So the goal of reducing the number of iterations can be reached with the consumption of resources reducing. In addition, in order to simplify the operation process, angle compression mechanism is used. So angles of different quadrants are mapped to [0,pi/4]. FPGA verification platform is built to validate the Bluetooth low energy transmitter digital baseband system after completing the design of each module. Verification results show that the circuit design achieve the signals rate of 1Mbps, and the root mean square error of GFSK modulated signal in the baseband circuits is 4.305% when system's requirements is 8MHz clock. Compared with the traditional method, the logic resource consumption of the improved CORDIC module is reduced by 16.5%.The BLE 4.0 transmitter digital baseband circuit which designed in this thesis can well meet the system requirements in terms of performance, which provides a reference for the design of Bluetooth low energy transmitter digital baseband circuits, and has a certain application prospect and practical value.
