With the development of science and technology in our country and the progress of the society, the proportion of the elderly population is increasing day by day, and our country has already entered the aging society. On the contrary, however, the proportion of the only child in modern society is the majority, and most of them are working outside the home all the year round, so they can hardly take care of the elderly. There have been some cable monitoring systems in the market, and later replaced by wireless, due to the inconvenience of installation. However, these are the passive acceptance of the guardianship of the guardian, the demand for their own initiative is difficult to get timely feedback, especially those who cannot take care of themselves. Many people choose to move in nursing homes, but it's quite likely for the nursing workers not to give timely responds to demand of the elderly because of their limited energy and manpower when they aren't in the side. What is gratifying is that in recent years, the embedded technology, wireless transmission technology, speech recognition technology and wireless sensor network technology have been got rapid progress, and meanwhile smart phone has also been a great popularity, which provides a new idea and a very good solution to the elderly care.This paper mainly designs an assisting system based on voice call which allows older people to give initiative instructions to assist nursing workers in real-time monitoring. Firstly, the system of the background and purpose of the research as well as design are introduced, and by the meantime wireless communication technology in recent years are compared, based on which the overall structure of the system is designed. Then STM32F103C8T6 is taken as micro controller and combined with peripheral circuit and radio frequency communication circuit to construct a wireless sensor network, in which the hardware circuit design, the system software design and wireless RF transmission data format design are included. In order to make the network data transmission more efficient and energy-saving, the paper also discusses the routing protocol in network layer such as LEACH protocol, DEEC protocol and the improved DEEC protocol. The results of simulation show that the improved DEEC protocol is relatively good performance. Finally the man-machine interface, including the login interface and control field noodles, is designed for nursing workers with the Android system as a platform.The design of the system makes it possible for the elderly and nursing workers to realize real-time docking, alleviates the burden of both the elderly and nursing workers, and provides a new idea for the care of the elderly in aging society.
