Distributed control system is a microprocessor based new control system, with its special characteristics that microcomputer distributed control, operation and management centralize, which also combined advanced computer technology, communication technology, cathode ray tube display technology and control technology together. With the rapid development of modern computer and communication network technology,distributed control system are developing towards diversification, network, openness and integration management direction, allowing different models of system interconnected to exchange data which connected with management network by Ethernet to achieve real-time data interaction which has become the mainstream of industrial automatic control process. The application in domestic power plant has been more than ten years, at present our new coal-fired power plants generally adopts the distributed control system.In view of the shortcomings of the existing distributed control system, the optimization and improvement of the embedded operating system and hardware two aspects are presented, and the decentralized control system based on QNX and ARM is put forward. In the aspect of hardware, core board and the bottom board circuit and related components of the drive, the software implementation of the transplantation of QNX operating system to arm architecture, using C language combined with QNX ide development environment to complete the process of preparation, to achieve decentralized control system functions, enable improved system satisfy the actual project application, to meet the needs of the production process control. Through long time testing found that the improved distributed control system has the advantages of strong stability, low power consumption, strong performance, low cost, high stability of the system and heat dissipation good and meet the needs of thermal power plant automatic control applications.
