Department portal website is an important platform for academy information management and communication, is an important window to show the good image of academy, and is a method which can show the cultures and characteristics of academy. It plays an important role in the campus activities. The strengthening of college educational informatization construction makes the campus portal play an increasingly important role in promoting the campus cultures, the teaching and scientific researches, and information office. So that the construction and management of department portal website have been received more and more attention.In recent years, with the continuous deepening reform of higher education in our country, the scale and educational level expanding increasingly, profession refinement, and the frequently flow of post personnel, it is highly required of the function module updating speed and the security management of department portal websites. The biggest advantage of Role-Based Access Control is convenient and efficient. Its work is assigning the users role depending on the different access role, and modifying the access control permissions of the role, which largely reduce the cost of system security management, and greatly improve the efficiency of the system management.This paper takes the security design and interface design of school portal website as the starting point, which designed and developed a school portal website based on hierarchical authorization customization. It has applied into campus activities, which provides some theoretical and practical guideline for the construction and application of school portal websites. The main contents are as the following several aspects of current research.(1)The security design of the department portal website based on hierarchical authorization customization. Firstly, The research has grouped by users related to the department portal website and made security rank inheritance analyses. The research put forward the principles that should be followed in the hierarchical authorization of access control, which include least privilege and separation of duties principle. Then the research put forward and introduced the detail of security access control model of the department portal website based on hierarchical authorization customization. the author has defined the permissions in hierarchical authorization and the migration state, and introduced the distribution of the permissions in hierarchical authorization in detail.(2)The interface design of the department portal website based on hierarchical authorization customization. According to the visual design theory and emotional design theory, this paper has analyzed the basic elements and function positioning of the interface of school portal website based on hierarchical authorization customization, and put forward interface design principles, which include the security principle of hierarchical authorization, people-oriented principle and interactive principle.(3)The implementation of the department portal website based on the hierarchical authorization customization. Firstly, the research has introduced the environment of department portal development and application and development technology principle. This research has introduced in detail the implementation of hierarchical authorization functions of department portal website. Then it has introduced the implementation of department portal website, including the main functional structure and interface displaying of the front page and the background management system. Finally, it introduced the execution flow of the department portal website based on hierarchical authorization customization.
