In recent years,there was a huge development in the field of fiber-wireless(FiWi)access network,which combined the technical merits of broadband access technologies and wireless access networks.Since FiWi supports a huge data rate,large amount of traffic flows are probably interrupted when failure occurs.Therefore,survivability becomes one of the most important issues for planning FiWi network.In this paper,we introduce the concept of quality of recovery(QoR)proposed in hierarchical optical network to study the protection scheme of FiWi network survivability.Combined with QoR's analysis modeling steps and network reliability theory,the comparison and evaluation of the three typical FiWi network survivability protection schemes are realized.The main research content of this paper is divided into three parts:Firstly,the QoR concept is introduced,optimized and realized in FiWi of QoR.Network protection schemes are evaluated by three steps of QoR evaluation method.Abstract,the first step,refers to the operation and performance of the numerical description from a network of protection scheme.The second step,standardization,is a kind of non dimensional treatment method,so that the absolute value of the physical system develops into a relative value of the absolute value;the third step,the application,through the selected network parameters of the weight mean square value,obtains the final evaluation results of the network survivability protection scheme.Secondly,FiWi protection schemes based on QoR are researched and evaluated.According to the calculation procedure of QoR,the QoR model of the MPMC andOBOF and the RPMF inter domain survivability schemes are established respectively.Then the QoR performance indexes of the above 3 kinds of technical schemes are simulated under different network scenarios by using the QoR program.The analysis results show that the RPMF scheme is the most effective solution to enhance the survivability of FiWi access network.Thirdly,the survival protection scheme of FiWi net was further optimized by the evaluation results of the three survival protection schemes.Based on the existing RPMF scheme,an improved scheme called RPMF-I is proposed,and the two protection schemes are analyzed and compared on the basis of the QoR method.According to different customer requirements,the QoR value of two kinds of survivability technology schemes are compared under five different service types.The simulation results show that the RPFM-I protection scheme is slightly better than the RPMF scheme.
