With the development of industry control and the field of information appliance, the demand for monitoring is increasing. The video surveillance system based on embedded system has been widely used and has been paid more attention by more and more developers.The S3C2440 integrated development board is chosen as the hardware platform of the system, the Linux kernel operating system is adopted, and the Web Boa server is built, and the video image information is transmitted from the USB camera to the Web server.The hardware platform of the embedded microprocessor's selection, storage module design,interface circuit design and so on are completed, which lays the hardware foundation for the system.The implementation principle of Boot Loader and the kernel structure of Linux are deeply studied. The U-Boot is ported to ARM9 hardware platform. The system needs to be transplanted and cut to Linux kernel, and a root file system is constructed. The architecture of embedded Linux application development platform is completed.The driving principle of USB camera device in Linux system and the technology of embedded system are studied. The video data acquisition function of the system is realized by using the V4 L video data programming interface.This paper describes the relevant data transmission protocol and data transmission principle and the Web server, and realizes the video image data transmission under the embedded Web server.Boa server is transplanted to the system, using Socket interface programming to establish the image data transmission system, using CGI technology and Mjpeg-Streamer to prepare a monitoring page of interactive browsing interface, completed the system design tasks.According to the software engineering test procedure and the standard, the system has been tested and the test results show that the network video monitoring system is fluent, and the video monitoring system based on B/S mode is realized. The design meets the requirements and has a certain practical value.
