Synthetic aperture radar with the characteristics of all-weather, all-time, remote imaging and high-resolution imaging, has been widely used in the military and civilian fields. With the continuous development of digital signal processing technology and synthetic aperture radar imaging algorithms, millimeter wave high-resolution SAR real-time imaging is becoming a new hotspot.This paper focuses on the software design of airborne millimeter wave high-resolution SAR real-time and quick-look processing based on TI DSP TMS320C6678. Due to the complex computation of SAR imaging processing algorithms and the large amount of data, we use co-processing board and array processing board based on multi-DSP for real-time image processing. So the Signal processing capability is very strong. The signal processing board with exchange chip can implement data exchange between the multi-board and between multi-DSP. At the same time, it can demonstrate the powerful capabilities of data processing and the wide practicality of the interface.Firstly, this paper introduces the basic principles of distance-Doppler algorithm, and the motion compensation processing based on INS. Secondly, we analyze hardware used in the design, including the important chip named TMS320C6678 and the structure of the signal processing board which consists of co-processing board and array processing board. Then we research the interface between the boards in the signal processing system. Thirdly, we make a detailed research on the algorithmic mapping and software design, and give a experimental results of the external field that show that the multi-core DSP processing can fully meet the high real-time requirements, and can achieve the high accuracy.Finally, we make a detailed description of the design of SAR real-time quick-look debugging software in order to solve the debugging difficult. According to the results of several debugging, we verify the performance of the debugging software. It show that the debugging software bring a big convenience for multi-DSP debugging.
