The proposal of OpenFlow technology breaking the bondage of traditional network architectures improves the irreasonable traffic distribution in networks thus brings advantages for load balancing technology.Using the charachteristics of OpenFlow technology the thesis proposed and implemented a dynamic load balancing routing algorithm on the controller. The algorithm adds a links information measurement and collection module and a multipath routing decision module to the controller, the former one majoring in collecting the status informations of links in real time to provide data for the later one, while the later one in charge in calculating the comprehensive performance evaluation values of every link based on the multi-index comprehensive evaluation model in order to calculate the K top paths among all the paths between the source node and the destination node and choose the optimal path as the current forwarding path according to the stability of the K paths. The algorithm makes dynamic forwarding strategy and improves the overall network performance.Finally, the Mininet emulation technique was used in verifying the feasibility and performance of the load balancing routing algorithm proposed in this thesis by setting two network topologies. The results show that the load balancing routing strategy can effectively alleviate the congestion of networks and improve the utilization of links. As a good attempt at load balancing solution in OpenFlow network, the ideas in this thesis are expected to provide some new inspirations for the subsequent researches on traffic engineering scheme.
