The biosensor chip combines the advantages of the biochip and biosensor. And it has attracted as much attention as it dose now.The traditional bio-chip was high-throughput,addressable,parallel processing. To further perform high-specificity,high-performance and high-sensitivity,electrochemiluminescence(ECL)was introduced into the biosensor chip.Paper for biological assays and point-of-care diagnostics has attracted as much attention as it dose now due to many demonstrated advantages such as abundant, disposable, portable, soft and easy to fold, ease of chemical modification, and biocompatibility. We had made some works based on these advantages.(1)ECL was introduced into the biosensor chip based on directly screen-printed paper-based electrode for the first time. This new biosensor offered the advantages of simplicity of apparatus, less reagent consumption, high sensitivity and sampling efficiency,a wider range, slightly lower detection limit, and ease of handling. The proposed disposable ECL biosensor for lysine could be successfully applied to the detection of lysine in egg white and chicken samples. This paper-based ECL biosensor offers a new opportunity for development of point-of-care testing(POCT)in real practice.(2)In this work,we used carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)as a model to demonstrate paper-based sandwich ECL 3D device based on screen-printed paper-based electrodes for the very first time. This novel paper-based ECL 3D immunodevice not only exhibits acceptable results but also has advantages including simple operation and fabrication,low-cost,low-time and sample-consuming,portable and disposable device without expert requirement and shows great promise in integration and combination with the recently emerging class of paper electronics for analysis of the routine screening of large scale samples.(3)In this work,a sandwich ECL aptasensor for adenosine triphosphate(ATP)was developed on paper-biosensors as a model aptasensor in the porous Au-paper working electrodes.Phenyleneethynylene derivative(P-acid)modified nanotubular mesoporous Pt-Ag alloy nanoparticles(P-acid-Pt-Ag ANPs)were employed as multi-labeling ECL labels to obtain amplified ECL signals, due to their hollow porous nanostructures having the advantage of highly accessible surface areas, and their rich surface chemistry allowing further vast loading of P-acid for multilabeling signal amplification.
