The Internet and networking technologies have brought great convenience in our life. We can communicate with each other at anytime and anywhere. But it also brings two additional issues: first, the explosive growth of network traffic makes the traditional network architecture unaffordable,and the configuration of traditional network architecture is inflexible and unopened,the situation greatly limits the rapid development of the current network. So it is so urgently that need a kind of new network architecture to solve these problems Second, the communication network can also become an channel to distribute unwanted traffic, such as Web Spam, malware, and spam. Unwanted traffic will not only affect the quality of life, they may be involved in the user's privacy and property, which can cause huge losses to people's lives. Therefore,unwanted traffic control is an inevitable question.At present, researchers have proposed many ways to control unwanted traffic. The method described in this thesis is an unwanted traffic control system based on trust management.On the other hand, SDN( software-defined network) appears for solving the drawbacks of the traditional network architectures in order to afford huge volumes of network traffic.Its characteristic of control plane decoupled from the data-forwarding plane is suitable for the current network status.It is so hot that it has a potential to replace the traditional network architecture. Some researchers have proposed some ways to control traffic based on SDN,but they are all based on the size of traffic, not against traffic itself.This paper implements an unwanted traffic control system based on trust management using SDN for the above two questions. Firstly, the theory basis of the system is the trust management model, which is a general traffic management scheme; Secondly, the system is implemented on the SDN architecture.We Set up the propel SDN virtual platform according to the structure of unwanted traffic control system:installed a virtual machine virtualbox in Ubuntu14.04,and we choose Mininet1.0 as an experimental platform and Floodlight as external controller.Because Floodlight is modular and its develop language is java which has good portability.Our system consists of three parts,the Host side run on the virtual host which belongs to the network topology.The serve sides(SP and GTO) are embed in the controller as a module,and they can control the unwanted traffic as the system's core.At the end,the server side are packaged into a service application,and provide the API for the above applications,so our system also realized the redevelopment of the controller.Our system can control unwanted traffic transferred from a source host to a destination host based on trust management under SDN infrastructure.The implementation shows that the unwanted traffic control system can be implemented with SDN technologies.The preliminary tests shows the correctness of our implementation and the effectiveness and efficiency of the designed system with regard to unwanted traffic detection and control.
