With the rapid development and popularization of social network, users expect to do instant communications and social activities anytime and anywhere. Due to the limitation of traditional networks and other reasons, thispractical requirements cannot be satisfied very well.Pervasive social networking(PSN) supports instant social activities and communications at any time and in any place with a universal and pervasive manner on the basis of MANET. The PSN can make up the shortcomings of traditional on-line social networks and has very good prospects. However, at the same time when mobile users expect useful and valuable contents via PSN, they may also receive unwanted, unexpected or even malicious contents. These contents may intrude user devices, occupy device memories, irritate mobile users and even destroy normal communications. So controlling the unwanted contents from the unwanted content source via PSN has become a crucial issue. This thesispresents the design and implementation of an unwanted content control system(named PSNController) in PSN based on trust management, the system can combine flow rate, user behavior and other factors toanalyze the unwanted contents in order to identify and controlunwanted content sources. We evaluate the system performance under a variety of intrusions and attacks. The result shows that the system is effective with regard to accuracy, efficiency and robustness. It can control unwanted content in PSN according to trust evaluation. Finally, we studied the user acceptance of our prototype system by running a user study in order to show its commercial potential and prospects in future, the results show that our system is thought as ease of use, useful, and playful. The participants of the user study like its interface design in general and hold a positive attitude on PSNController. We conclude that PSNController has good user acceptance. The contribuions of the thesis can be summarized as below:(1) Based on previous research results, the author designed and implemented PSNController.(2) Based on the prototype PSNController, the author designed a series of tests and simulate different types of attacks to evaluate PSNController’s performance.(3) The author conducted a user study with 10 participants to really use PSNController. This study further showed PSNController’s good user acceptance in terms of usefulness, ease of use, playfulness, good interface and user’s willingness of acceptance.
