"Sound You Can See" JBL Pulse 2 Interactive Design

The research of the Interaction system of "Sound you can see" JBL Pulse 2 Speaker aims at discovering the visual, aural and tactile interaction relationship between speakers and users. It's also the discovery of applying the visualization of music into products. While the wireless Bluetooth speakers are such bestsellers, JBL Pulse 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker make innovations in the visual, aural and tactile interaction, which bring the users more interesting function and using experience. The interaction system of speakers is the medium of communication between speakers, app of the speaker and users. The interaction system of JBL Pulse 2 aims at "Insight into Music". There are 100 LED lights designed around the surface of the speaker, which can shape the feeling of "Viewing music" by the lights effects when playing music. The interface design of the app is also important in visual interaction system. The interface design follows the principle of interaction design, which use the elements of color, layout, icon, text and animation. The design style of current visual interaction system is based on the color of JBL brand, speaker itself, user preferences and market rules.After the analysis and summary of the origin of the project, the background of the research, including the JBL brand series, JBL Pulse subject situation, this thesis proposes the significance of research of this project and determine the contents and the specific research process.After defining the project process, we make early research and analysis, including competitor analysis and the analysis of user needs. We try to convert the user needs into the product designing points and apply them to the interaction design, the upgrading of lighting effects system and the interface design of app on mobile phone.The end the thesis explains the definability of the functions of the products and elaborates the design of lighting effect theme and JBL Connect App, which is based on the cooperation of product designers, hardware engineers, UI designers and software developers. The design team is instructed by the user experience design principles. We focused on the users in the whole design process. We not only designed the new products, but also create a complete design method for the interaction design of audio products.
