In recent years,with the rapid development of Chinese industry,industrial robots has been widely applied in many fields.Because the robot industry started relatively late,most products still need to be imported in China.To reduce the cost of the robot and realize the industry of robot localization have become the important task of promoting the national “industry 4.0".As one of the key parts of industrial robot,RV reducer relies mainly on imports,and have accounted for a third of the total cost of robot in China.Although there are some domestic products in the current market,the product is not yet mature,there is still a gap with the international level in the respects of service life,bearing capacity,and transmission accuracy and so on,.Considered the poor performs of current domestic RV reducer in strength,lifetime and other aspects,the China-made reducer RV-450 E is taken as the research object in this paper,and the thorough research are carried on from three aspects: motion simulation of the virtual prototype,modal analysis and structural strength analysis.First,this paper establishes the virtual prototype of the RV reducer using the functions of a parameterized entity modeling,virtual assembly and motion simulation in Pro/E 5.0 and realizes the motion simulation,gets the related movement curves,and also verifies the transmission of the virtual prototype.Second,on the basis of the virtual prototype model,carries on the modal analysis and the structural strength analysis for the RV reducer with the finite element analysis software ABAQUS.In terms of the modal analysis,first transforms the nonlinear behavior into linear constraint,and then finishes the modal analysis of the entirety and the parts of the virtual prototype,so their corresponding natural frequency and vibration mode were obtained,which become the data support to prevent resonance and the reference of structure optimization.In respect of the structural strength analysis,first carries out the static analysis for the crank shaft,and obtains the stress and strain nephogram,which help us check the strength of the crank shaft and tell us its weak links and the corresponding improvement suggestions.The last thing we do with this software is the explicit nonlinear dynamic contact analysis for the gear meshing in both the first and second Stage Reduction Unit which gives us the stress nephogram in the meshing process,verifies the strength of two kinds of gear and also provides the basis for the reliability of the prototype.Through in-depth study of these three aspects,on the one hand,this article gives data support for prevention of resonance that is caused by both external and internal excitation;on the other hand,it verifies the structure strength of the prototype.Besides,this paper provides an important basis for further optimization in reducer's structure.
