In recent years, with the development of computer technology and visualization technology, the application of surface interpolation algorithm is becoming more and more popular. In the field of meteorology, hydrology, geology and other fields, surface interpolation is an indispensable key technology. Especially in geology, 3D geological modeling are often needed for geological survey. And often because of the complexity of geological structure, uncertainty, and the irregular data, you need to choose appropriate interpolation algorithm for data interpolation to make the interpolation result and the three-dimensional model are more consistent with the actual geological conditions.Currently the common interpolation algorithm include: inverse distance weighted(IDW), B spline, thin plate spline, Krikin(Kriging), discrete smooth(DSI), linear interpolation algorithm and so on. Above interpolation algorithms have their own characteristics: such as Kriging interpolation algorithm, because of its good development, so in the need for appropriate expansion of model, often using the method to achieve the ideal effect. The thin plate spline interpolation algorithm: because the idea of thin plate spline interpolation algorithm is to simulate a ductile sheet, through the action of an external force to make it go through the given data points, the resulting model surfaces will be more smooth, there will be no large fluctuations and faults. Discrete smooth interpolation algorithm: when there is a multi valued data for a given model and the models produced by other algorithms are not ideal. At this time, we should use discrete smooth interpolation algorithm However, in actual operation, facing the given data distribution uneven, some data intensive, a part of the data sparse, interpolation algorithm above is often not very ideal. Based on this situation, this paper proposes a linear interpolation algorithm based on lofting. Algorithm is based on lofting, that is, profile be promoted alone the path, which generates more curves and then generates the entire model, Experimental results show that the model is a good solution to the above mentioned convex hull and sag condition, the model results are better.
