With the improvement and popularity of current information technology, enterprises' demand for data service system has been expanded from simple business requirements and data flow to the security and data requirements. For the enterprises and institutions, the data center must be more convenient, comprehensive, safety and reliable, but the traditional resources allocation of data center are relatively lagged and obviously difficult to meet such demands. Therefore, how to fundamentally solve the waste of resources, integration difficulty, low security level, high complexity and many other problems of the traditional data center, has become one of key problems to be solved by the enterprises and institutions during the process of information construction in the future. With the advent of virtualization technology, it provides certain feasibility to satisfy the requirements of enterprises and institutions. By way of making full use of virtualization technology, the integration and configuration of storage, networking and data can be achieved on the basis of effective cost-control. The application sharing, safety and efficiency of the data service system for enterprises and institutions is promoted taking advantages of cluster mode of virtualization instead of traditional mode of data center.This paper focuses on investigating the migration of the traditional data center to the virtual cluster, taking a traditional chemical company as analysis object. Based on the research and analysis of the key technology of high performance virtual cluster, the application and operation efficiency of hardware and network resources of traditional data center are clarified through current analysis of overall deployment and operation of the traditional data center in traditional chemical enterprises, and the main problems of low utilization efficiency of physical sources, longer faults recovery time, overloads of CPU and memory are clearly indicated. The overall scheme of migration from traditional data center of chemical enterprise to virtual cluster on the basis of XenServer virtualization system is then designed and planned, which includes server virtualization, network virtualization, storage virtualization, and then a detailed deployment of virtual cluster is developed according to the practical situation of traditional chemical enterprises, including XenServer server virtualization, SAN storage virtualization and the virtual network of IRF. Finally, the dynamic migration technology and resource allocation technology that are created by the virtual cluster are well investigated, and their application and properties are tested. The results of the study showed that virtualization cluster migration of the data center in traditional chemical enterprise is able to save some cost in hardware, software, operation and maintenance aspects. At the same time, the utilization efficiency of physical resources is effectively enhanced while the failure rate and the interrupt processing time of physical resources are reduced.This paper studies the migration of traditional data center to virtual cluster, expecting to provide a novel mode of building data center for enterprises, which plays significant role in further optimizing the server and storage resources configuration, aiming at realizing efficient, safe and low cost operation of data center in the enterprises.
