The research works are made with the scientific projects. The thesis consists of two parts: A wide-beam dual-polarized antenna borne on missile is presented and fabricated in the first part, which meets the project requirements and achieves a good performance. In the second part, a dual-band conformal array antenna for cylinder platform is presented and simulated, which meets the performance requirements. The main contexts of the thesis are as follows:Firstly, according to the project requirements of missile-borne antenna, the concepts, application, development history and current situation of the missile-borne antenna are introduced. The difficulties in achieving wide bandwidth, wide beam pattern and dual-polarized characteristics for missile-borne antenna is discussed. Then the design methods of the missile-borne antenna are presented: two separate orthogonal placed feed networks are used to feed the antenna and the antenna is embedded into a metal cavity with metal screw. Four working in SC-band and X-band transmitting/receiving antennas are designed and fabricated. The measured results show that the size of he proposed antenna is Φ85mm ?25mm, and it is installed into a metal cavity to achieve a strong ability to resist vibration. The antenna has vswr of less than 2.0 and the gains of greater than-3d B at ±60° beam width in the two operating bands. All the results can mee t the design requirements.Secondly, according to the project requirements of the conformal array antenna for cylinder platform, the concepts and current situation of conformal array are introduced. The design difficulties in achieving wide band and miniaturization characteristics are pointed out. Then the design scheme of the antenna is presented. The antennas are simulated with the use of Ansoft HFSS. The simulation results show that the antenna array achieves omnidirectional patterns and conical patterns in the a zimuth and elevation plane respectively. The VSWR is less than 1.6 in the required frequency bands, and a good RHCP characteristic is obtained, laying a certain foundation for subsequent experimental prototype.
