Nowadays, the teaching methods of the automation elementary courses are similar between the different technical schools, while the experiment teaching is totally different. The experimental teaching equipments of PLC optical electromechanical integration in most schools can be divided into three types, hardware type, virtual simulation type and remote network type. However, all these three types have some functional defects, such as weak fault-tolerant ability, complicated operation of the equipment, high cost, single control mode, no multi-station networking function and so on. So these three types of the PLC optical electromechanical integration equipments insatiable the growing needs of the experimental teaching and provide convenience different operating conditions.In order to solve the problems of the current equipment, based on the original transporting section, procession section, and repackaging section, we used the modularization method combining with the functions of image acquisition, image processing, image recognition, weighing, screening of corrective and counting to design a multi-function integration training platform.The functions of image acquisition, image processing and image recognition can be used to detect whether the product is in a right place range by collecting the graphics. The image acquisition processing and identification hardware component is ARM processor S3C2440A. As for the software, we used the V4L interface program. And for image segmentation and template matching, we used FCM algorithm and CBIR system to achieve. Also, we used ARM core board to verify the function module. The system also has a weighing function which can measure the products on the product line, this kind of measuring module is designed using a pressure sensor. This system also designed a constant current source and a dedicated amplifier circuit, as tested, this hardware circuit has the advantages of low cost and high reliability, has the function of photoelectric counting which is achieved by photo gate. Also the system has a screening of correcting mechanism, can select the unqualified products and push them out from the assembly line, which is using PLC controlling.Experimental results show us that the success rate of the image acquisition and processing function reach up to 93.3% and can obtain the accurate location information, which are in accordance with the design requirements. Screening of correcting function used SF200 simulator to debug and can have a function of electrical machine turning forward, reversal, fixed-step and so on. The technology of weighing and collecting is mature. Other module is from the original. As tested from single machine and part of online debug, systems work fine.Take advantage of this platform,it can enhance students' understanding of the key technologies of the sensor principle, ARM embedded programming and transplantation, feature matching algorithm designing, electron device designing and step motor controlling on the basis of PLC. Also can improve students' practical operation ability and the comprehensive quality, have the value of promotion in the automation specialty from the institutions of higher learning and related technical schools, and has a really promising prospects.
