Satellite mobile communication refers to the communication system which takes satellite as the data transmit media. Compared with terrestrial cellular mobile communication system, satellite mobile communication system is not limited by geographical restrictions and communication distance, so it has wide coverage. In addition, during some special period(typhoons, earthquakes, etc.), terrestrial cellular mobile communication devices are easy to be affected and can not ensure communication quality. Satellite mobile communication is up for this shortcoming.To realize a complete satellite communication link, there must be reliable satellite gateway stations on the ground to receive signals from satellite. During the development process of satellite mobile communication devices, there need to be some simulated gateway stations to ensure the integrity and reliability of terminal equipment or satellite equipment. Conventional simulated gateway stations are always based on hardware platform(FPGA, DSP, etc). While hardware platform is difficult to maintain and extend.The main work of this paper is that we developed a physical simulated gateway station based on GMR-1 protocols. This system is realized through software defined radio. We designed a feasible software architecture for physical processing. To ensure software efficiency, we adopt Python + C language and multi-threads technology. The whole system has a good scalability, maintainability and portability. In addition, I developed a visual user operating interface for this system, which can greatly improve test efficiency. I adopt CSS to do the rendering, use Jinja to do display control and use JavaScript to display real-time status. The communication between foreground and background is based on http protocols.
