Optical three-dimensional shape measurement is widely used in many areas, such as industrial automatic inspection, reverse engineering, medical, biometrics and cultural reproduction and other fields. As an important branch of optical three-dimensional shape measurement technology, the related technology of grating projection three-dimensional profilometry has become a central issue. However, compared with foreign advanced products, the systems of grating projection three-dimensional profilometry which are researched and developed in the domestic have a considerable gap. The level of the measurement accuracy, measurement speed and stability needs to be improved. In recent years, this measurement method is used more widely in the industrial field. Based on the characteristics of the application background, this paper will study the grating projection binocular vision topography measurement. Grating Projection and binocular vision are combined in this system. Based on the full analysis of the key technologies in the measurement process, a set of high-quality system of grating projection three-dimensional profilometry is expected to be developed in this paper. The main jobs of this paper are described as follows:1. According to the industrial field environments and application needs, the measuring method is studied. The mathematical model of the measurement system is established and the hardware platform and software architecture is built. A comparative analysis the principles of binocular and monocular grating projection measuring system is completed.2. The calibration of grating projection measurement system is discussed The grating projection monocular vision measurement system and grating projection binocular vision measurement system have been described respectively.3. The ways of image analysis and processing in the grating projection binocular vision measurement system is discussed, including phase demodulation, phase unwrapping and binocular stereo matching in the grating projection system.4. The system calibration accuracy, phase demodulation precision, phase unwrapping precision and overall precision of the system are validated through the design of experiments.
