Microscope has an irreplaceable function in biomedical, botany, microelectronics and other interrelated fields. When using the traditional optical microscope, the experiment operator directly uses the eye to observe, unable to save observed result, the results of the microscopic image analysis are all determined by the personal ability. For ordinary optics, in the observation of large quantities of the same type of material, microscopic image analysis can't get the help of image processing software, so it requires significant human resource. These reasons make the individual work inefficiency. In conclusion, traditional optical microscope manifests more and more limitations in some special fields. To overcome these shortcomings, the researchers designed a digital microscope based on optical, optical materials, microelectronics etc. Digital microscope equipped with high resolution optically sensitive software, the intensity of red, green and blue three colors into the corresponding charge. The control system of the digital microscope can collect the charge of these elements and to digital. The digital microscope's built-in micro controller can control the data, and through the corresponding data bus transfer to the host computer. The host computer image processing software can be digital image real-time display. Finally, get more clear image of the target through processing of micro image.Digital image processing, low level image processing has large volume of data, requires processing speed, but the result of the operation is relatively simple, and the same operation is applied to all the elements in the image. The features are well suited to map to FPGA architectures implemented by hardware algorithms. In summary, this paper presents an improved method of microscope. In this method, the OV7670 module is used to collect the microscopic image, and then the FPGA chip embedded algorithm to pre process the micro image, finally, the image is transmitted to the host computer through the USB data bus.The control system based on FPGA microscopic image acquisition platform mainly realizes the following functions:1. Using OV7670 module to complete microscopic image acquisition.2. Realization of the micro image of the LCD screen display through theVGA interface3. Using USB data bus to complete the image data transmission4. In the upper computer, the microscopic images were collected and thesimulation results were verified by MATLAB software.
