So far, there are three factors limit laser cooling of rare earth-doped solids:(1) the absorption power of pump laser of the sample, (2) The material characteristics, (3) Thermal load of the ambient. The effect of laser cooling solids can be enhanced by broken the three limits as previously described before it can be cooled down to the temperature limited by the theory. This paper mainly focus on improving the power of pump laser to increaser the absorption power to enhance the effect of laser cooling of solids by developing the diode tapered amplifier.The high power diode tapered amplifier systems with single frequency which can be used to the resonant cavity enhancement absorption laser cooling of solids are developed. The out power of Tapered Amplifier is up to 1600mW after injecting the seed laser with the power of?30mW at 1015 nm combining with injecting current 5 A. And the amplification factor of 53.3 is obtained. The laser amplifier system can be well operated with stability for long time. Therefore, it is satisfied for resonant cavity enhancement absorption laser cooling crystals which doped with rare earth ions.
