The trend of the chip industry is high-speed, high precision and efficient. but there are still many problems. Vibration is one of the key issues in high-precision machining. An efficient, high-precision, high-speed chip sorting equipment are urgent needed. Sorting equipment arm as the core component, it will cause great inertial vibration because of the high-speed rotation and high-speed emergency stop, thus it will directly affect the accuracy of the chip pickup. So arm controlling vibrations become a major factor in improving performance. And the method of suppressing vibration needs to obtain dynamic characteristics, so the study of dynamic characteristics of the swing arm is particularly important.In this paper, the current problems of the high-frequency reciprocating mechanism were analyzed first, the traditional experimental modal analysis have done for the LED chip sorting arm, and have pointed out that the traditional experimental modal analysis method for large-scale structure of the test is effective, but for lightweight construction is insufficient. Meanwhile in the operating state the modal parameters cannot be recognized.Analysis method of structural strain response has solved unpredictable problems of the input, but also has solved the inaccurate experimental data resulting from the sensor quality itself. Cantilever structure which is similar to the arm strain have been done the response experimental modal analysis and finite element simulation analysis were tested. From the test results, it illustrates that the strain response method can accurately obtain the modal parameters. Strain response test method accuracy has been verified.In order to obtain the dynamic characteristics of the swing arm, we have done two things. First, strain response tests carried out under the stable and running. Second, strain response test is under the two different working positions. While the arm operation in low or high frequency response spectrum has been analyzed, pointing out arm vibration is caused by multiple order frequencies together, in the analysis of the structure must be concerned about the impact of high frequency for running arm vibration suppression to provide guidance.Through the above research, this paper has done the dynamic analysis of the chip sorter arm structure from many aspects. To explore a way to get a more accurate dynamic characteristics of arm structure running vibration.
