Mobile Internet has been the future trend of the Internet world. The Applications based on mobile platform have satisfied people in their work and daily life. With the characteristic of cross-platform and light-weight, web apps are popular among internet users. The increasing population makes user dependence stronger which causes the higher requirements on speed and performance. During the life cycle of the products, the improvement of the performance is extremely important.Compared with web apps on PC platform, the mobile platform web apps are special and different. Challenges came from the diversity of mobile devices, limits of hardware, and bad network. With the technology development of server, database and cloud computing, time and resource consumption are mainly happened on front-end according to statistics.Optimizing the performance of web front-end will have better effect and improve the user experience.According to mechanism of web system and browser, we can do the research from five respects: network request, HTML document, CSS rendering, Javascript and HTML5 features. The optimization scheme will be proposed after analysis these factors. The scheme introduces file compression, image processing, DOM event, CSS standard, script memory and HTML5 localstorage in detail. In addition, optimization principle and practicability are explained. The Dolphin WebApp Store is a typical mobile web application which has large page view, thus the request for website optimization is urgent. We adopt the scheme and take measures for the product, then test the related parameters with Chrome DevTools. The result shows that the loading speed, memory consumption, page performance are improved. Consequently, it is obvious that the optimization scheme and method are effective and feasible.
