With the rapid development of the modern economy, large buildings in the city are increasing in number. The internal structure and function of these buildings are becoming more and more complex, and indoor navigation and other location services based on indoor space has become a hotspot for both research and application at home and abroad. Based on the routing demand of the customers in large shopping malls, this paper puts forward a design scheme for indoor path planning system, and completes the Android application development to solve customer's indoor way-finding problems on mobile terminals.In this paper, the indoor navigation system mainly consists of two parts: the background server and Android application. First of all, the paper analyzes the requirements of the system. Secondly, the paper puts forward the core case which the paper gives a detailed analysis on. Finally, the paper focuses on the overall design of the system. The core problems of this system are the presentation of the indoor space and the construction of the indoor path network. To solve the two problems, the paper abstracts the indoor space into polygon for clear presentation and explains the relation between individual indoor objects through network topology. Finally, with the construction of a network topology map of indoor path, the paper carries out the routing selection based on the shortest path algorithm, and demonstrates the navigation results on the application.This system has been developed by Android, with which the users can browse the map for each floor, and a routing map can be planned and displayed after choosing the starting and ending point. The system has been tested with practical data, and the result shows the system can complete the indoor path planning with satisfaction.
