Research On Multi-lingual Query Expansion Method Based On The Word Net

Internet has entered to every corner of the people's lives today. The amount of information on the Internet are more and more big, the growth rate is also growing fast. In the face of the Internet information, how to get the information we need from the field of information retrieval has become a hot spot. At present, the mainstream search engine query is based on keyword matching. The face of massive information, only the query method based on keywords matching is very difficult to give satisfactory results, so the query expansion technology. The query expansion technique is one of the key techniques to improve the recall and precision in information retrieval, and become a research hotspot in recent years. With the development of the query expansion techniqueAs the main research methods are classified into three categories: query expansion technology, keyword query term reweighting technique and semantic query expansion technique. Among them, the concept of semantic query expansion technique is most suitable for use in multilingual information retrieval system. However, semantic query expansion technology is the core of the semantic dictionary. But to build a semantic dictionary availability is a time consuming, difficult task of human capital. This paper presents a semantic dictionary Word Net method based on automatic generation of Uyghur language. The method has been used in English and Uygur dictionary help, automatic generation of semantic dictionary.First of all, in English and Uyghur language dictionary, the mapping relationship between Word Net vocabularies to Uyghur vocabulary. Such a semantic dictionary accuracy rate is relatively low in the Uygur language.Secondly, with the Uighur language- English dictionary, a reverse mapping, if a relationship is positive and reverse mapping and retention, or cancel this relationship.Finally, based on the semantic dictionary automatically generated on the similarity calculation method and semantic query expansion method of word meaning. The experimental results prove the effectiveness of the proposed method.
