Stray light generated in high power lasers forms a huge number of ghost points (ghost images), which not only damaging the optical components in lasers, but also seriously undermine the beam quality and propagation properties of laser. Taking stray light in "The multi-pass amplification system" as the study subject and basing on the basic principle of matrix optics, a fast and useful analytic way and data structure, which suits for the specific requirement in analysis and process of ghost images, is presented. A model of stray light and ghost images has been set up and the calculation method solving these mathematic methods is got. What's more, the computer simulation of the optical path is also realized. The analytical software can comprehensively detect these ghost images' position generated by ghost reflections as well as their energy. Therefore, we can find all of the ruinous ghost images in system.The main task of this software is to calculate the location and energy of all the ghost points in the light path location automatically, according to the optical path and beam parameters input in advance. This is the greatest advantage compared with the existing software. Before calculating, it only needs to input all the optical data and the energy threshold of the ghost points. It can automatically calculate and record all qualified ghost points with the position and energy in the optical path. The software is convenient and efficient, quick, easy and friendly. According to the overall goal, we made needs analysis deeply before program the software. The goal is explicit and the structure is very clear. In the software development, function analysis on the overall architecture and modules was carried out.These achievements are useful in the optical design of laser multi-pass amplification directly. It can reduce the time and cost of optical design and have actual significance.
