Wireless Local Area Networks (abbreviated as WLAN) has made a spurt of progress in development in recent years and revolutionarily changed the ways of people's study, work and lives. With WLAN's equipment coming into mature period in technology and development cost, it is likely to make WLAN apply and promote in a large scale. Due to the increasing number of users group and growing user density, the technology of WLAN deployment becomes more difficult. So some problems, such as network drops, slow connection speed and unaccessible to the network, will easily appear occur if the design is not good.Because it is comparatively more complicated and difficult to apply the design of WLAN Deployment plans for intensive large user group, this subject study aims to give the conclusion on the basic design idea and technical regulation of WLAN deployment plans for intensive large user group, provide a referable and worthwhile completed experiment data for further social application and promotion of WLAN deployment plans for intensive large user group, in order to speed up the WLAN social application and promotion. This paper studies the design and implementation of WLAN deployment plans used in the students dormitories of a higher school and concludes the design strategies and technical regulations of WLAN deployment plans for intensive large user group. The reason why student's dormitories of universities and colleges are taken as the study subject is that there are a bigger number of students accessible to website and dense distribution, which can satisfy the basic characteristics of the research content of "intensive large user group"Conclusions of this study are the design of WLAN deployment plans for intensive large user group and takes the designing strategies as the main aspects in following sides:1. The design begins when finishing the analysis of website users'needs and fully inspecting the environment on-the-spot and the concrete scheme will be designed and applied through such aspects as the network capacity planning, design of network topology, wireless antenna selection, Access Point (abbreviated as AP) and antenna deployment location, network uplink and downlink link calculation, the AP transmitting power design, AP channel planning, AP and the end user IP address allocation and VLAN planning programme design, network design, test scheme of WLAN fault detection and exclusion scheme design and AP optimization scheme design.2. It is necessary to reasonably design the network capacity so that the total exports bandwidth should be guaranteed to satisfy the actual demand of overall user access to the Internet and avoid the phenomenon of total export network bottlenecks, meanwhile the single user speed not should be ensured not to be occupied with the reasonable design of the highest number of access users to a single AP.3. Choosing the correct type of wireless antenna should consider the environmental characteristics, among which the four parameters need to be carefully considered, such as the antenna gain, beam width, horizontal vertical beam width and front and back ratio.4. It is necessary to reasonably plan the AP channel by keeping the same channel AP enough distance so that interference signal can be avoided due to overlapping of effective signal in the same channel AP.5. With the environment of more walls, it should be considered to avoid serious attenuation caused by the signal going through walls while installing antenna, and avoid the signal attenuation caused by excessive antenna feeder by deploying AP in the antenna within a range of 2 meters.6. It is necessary to limit the coverage of AP effective signal by correctly set AP signal power in order to ensure that the number of single AP access users is not excessive and that single user online band width is not occupied.7. It is necessary to reasonably plan WLAN in order to avoid network congestion caused by the broadcast storm, which will affect the overall performance of the network.8. It needs to avoid the network congestion because of large flow high-speed data download and ensure the internet bandwidth needs of each user and improve the overall network though put by the implementation of such optimization measures as reasonable speed for users and limit the number of users access AP in AC.9. It is necessary to maintain daily monitoring on the overall network performance, network maintenance and optimization in a timely manner in order to improve the overall performance of the network. Through the some actual test, the functions of the constructed system perform well and the experiment achieves the expected target, which lay the foundation for the deployment and development of WLAN and the research of network function.
