As we live in the era of big data,our living is filled with data.We are exposed to mass of data,and it’s inseparable from our life.Influenced by international education,educational reform on math in China is ongoing as well.With the emergency of the word core literacy,research on key literacy of math becomes the hot issue and key point for math education.Data analysis is one of the six key literacies for math and the core content of statistics and probability teaching.Therefore,so as to further improve the educational system and cultivate talents with high math literacy,we need to recognize the current analytical literacy of high school students and how to improve teaching of statistics and probability.The paper is divided into four parts: Part One is literature review,which mainly elaborates the concepts of math literacy and data analytical literacy.Domestic and foreign researches for math literacy and data analytical literacy are also studied.Part Two is the introduction of SOLO taxonomy theory,the research methods of the paper and the introduction of test questionnaire development.Part Three is the analysis of test questionnaire,and the current date analytical literacy of students which is analyzed through using EXCLE and SPSS software.Part Four is the advice for cultivating the data literacy of high school students.It is found from the analysis of test questionnaire that the data analytical competency of high school students is generally poor merely reaching multi-structure level,which is mechanically used for problem solving and calculation.The importance of data analysis and the concrete content of data analysis,however,is not recognized.For this reason,the paper proposes suggestions from three aspects: the preparation of teaching materials;the improvement of teachers’ professional qualities;and the optimization of classroom teaching.
