| In the process of English writing teaching,Peer feedback on writing is one of the effective methods for English teachers.It’s a different method from teacher-centered feedback.At present,international studies about peer feedback focus on students’ achievement tests rather than focus on the ability of writing revisions for students.Besides,a lot of objects in these studies about peer feedback are college students and high school students rather than junior high school students.So in this research junior high school students are the main objects.And,under the guidance of cooperative learning theory,approach to process-writing and constructivism learning theory,this paper will select several junior high school students as the main objects of the research to explore the influence of peer feedback on writing revisions.By using experimental methods,questionnaires and case studies to mainly answer the following questions:(1)Can peer feedback improve the students’ ability of writing revision ?(2)Can peer feedback help students improve the writing ability ?(3)Can peer feedback produce the same effect for different level students ?The objects came from two classes in Tengzhou junior high school,the number of students in this experiment is 98.Two classes adopted different evaluation models.The experimental class mainly adopted the ways of peer feedback to review English writing while the control class mainly adopted the teachers’ feedback mode.The period of this experiment lasted for 3 moths.The paper combined quantitative and qualitative research methods to collect data,including students’ writing experiments,questionnaires and the case studies.Beyond that,the author used SPSS 22.0 Statistic Software to analyze the data in detail.The results of this paper are as follows:(1)Peer feedback can improve students’ ability of writing revision.(2)Peer feedback can help students improve their English writing levels.(3)The revision effect of peer feedback can help poor students improve theirEnglish writing ability quickly.Based on the summary and analysis of experimental data,we can find out peer feedback is the most important ways to improve the evaluation of English writing.It is complementary and improvement for traditional writing teaching mode,and in real writing teaching it has higher relevance and research value.On the one hand,teachers can try use it in teaching and it’s also a good model to improve the writing teaching.On the other hand,it is a practical method to improve the writing ability for students.At the same time,some questions in this survey such as the ability of evaluation for different levels students and reasonable collocation of team members will become the next researchers need to be focused and discussed. |
