When it comes to "ugliness," people tend to compare it with "beauty." Some people think that ugliness and beauty are mutually antagonistic;the two are incompatible;others hold the view that the United States and ugly exist,and that there is no clear boundary between the two.With the development of the times and the progress of society,a single aesthetic concept can no longer satisfy people's needs.More and more young people have begun to pursue individuality—being ugly as beauty and forming their own unique concept of “appreciation of ugliness”.China started with the new curriculum reform in 2001 and has always pursued the "one class and many more textbooks" in the compilation of textbooks.Paying attention to the articles of the selected editions of the middle school language textbooks,we will clearly find that each edition of the textbook contains a certain number of selections involving “ugly images”.This requires that front-line language educators pay attention,make full use of "ugly image" in language textbooks,broaden the horizon of aesthetic education,and properly integrate ugly education into aesthetic education to help students understand the world and understand life correctly.In addition to the preface,this paper is divided into four chapters.The foreword mainly combines theoretical and practical situations,expounds the research origin of the thesis,explains related concepts such as “ugly”,“ugly image”,and “appreciation of ugliness”,and analyzes the theoretical basis,research status,and research significance of the research,enabling readers to "Ugly image" has a basic understanding.In the first chapter,the author selects three sets of Chinese textbooks that are widely used from the two stages of junior high school and high school,and analyzes the “ugly image” of the full set of textbooks.Through statistics,we will find that there are indeed many “ugliness” in the Chinese textbooks for middle schools.The "image" text confirms the necessity of studying the "ugly image" in the text;The second chapter classifies the "ugly image" in textbooks on the basis of the first chapter,and divides the "ugly image" into five categories: external,ugly,ridiculous,funny,weird,and sham.To sort out the manifestations of different "ugly images" in Chinesetextbooks;The third chapter combines the questionnaires,expounds the fact that the "ugly image" teaching in middle school language is not optimistic,highlights the urgency of "ugly image" teaching,and highlights the teaching value of "ugly image";In the last chapter,combining practice,from the four aspects of reading,writing,oral communication and comprehensive learning,it proposes teaching methods for first-line language teachers to teach relevant “ugly image” texts.
