On the basis of the requirement of The Chinese Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education(2011 Edition),oral communication teaching in Chinese classroom bears the important task of cultivating students' oral communication literacy.In the whole stage of basic education,gread five and six is in a position of connecting and transitioning between primary school and middle school.If students lay a solid foundation of oral communication in the third phase of learning,this will contribute to their further study in the future.It is even good for their future life and work.Therefore,taking classroom observation,questionnaire and interview as the main research methods,according to the Chinese books published by the People's Education Publishing House on 2003 and 2004,this paper discusses the teaching of oral communication in the fifth and sixth grade in the classroom.This paper finds out the problems existing in the teaching of oral communication between students and teachers,analyzes the causes of the problems,and puts forward some suggestions to improve the problems.The present situations of oral communication in classroom teaching in grade five and six is described and combed.It is found that students participate in classroom activities at random in oral communication learning.In the teaching of oral communication,teachers rely too much on the books,lacking design of classroom activities,and have a single teaching method.Analysis of the causes of the problems,for students,lacking a correct understanding of the role of oral communication learning,lacking awareness of learning methods of oral communication,and for teachers,lacking the awareness of the implementation of oral communication teaching goals,lacking the awareness of the importance of oral communication classroom teaching,and lacking the guidance to oralcommunication teaching methods,lacking a clear understanding of the evaluation criteria of oral communication.In view of the problems,the following suggestions are put forward:on the part of students,it is import to clarify the oral communication literacy's importance,and the randomness of learning should be overcome,and the specific and operable learning methods should be mastered in order to meet the basic requirements of the curriculum standard.According to the teaching goal,we should choose the teaching content,cultivate the students' oral communication accomplishment,strengthen the classroom teaching design of oral communication,arouse the students' interest in oral communication,and guide the students to learn the oral communication by using various teaching methods of oral communication.Learn to define the evaluation criteria of oral communication and improve students' oral communication ability.The suggestions to improve the teaching of oral communication in classroom have pertinence and maneuverability,so it will be helpful to the improvement of students' oral communication literacy,to the teachers,offer the teaching ideas of oral communication about teaching content,teaching design,teaching method,teaching evaluation and so on,can improve the present situation of oral communication teaching in classroom,and it can also provide teaching practice materials for the construction of oral communication teaching theory.
