The rapid growth and development of private higher education has eased the contradictions between the imbalances in the supply and demand of higher education and played a catalytic role in shifting China's higher education from "elite education" to "popularized education." However,popularization of education will inevitably bring about popularized employment.How to make graduates of private colleges and universities find jobs and increase the quality of employment can be achieved by strengthening the results of education and teaching,and providing career guidance by schools to enhance students' career cognitive ability and job adaptability,and broaden access to career information.The demand for high-quality employment of private colleges and universities in Shaanxi province is severe,and there is an urgent need to improve the career service system for these graduates.Based on the concept of career service system in colleges and universities,this paper analyzes the status quo of career service system in private colleges and universities in Shaanxi by means of documentation,investigation,data analysis and normative analysis.As government agencies at all levels pay more and more attention to the employment of college graduates,private colleges and universities in Shaanxi also attach more importance to career guidance,and they set up a full-time career service agency – Career Service Center to provide students with more comprehensive and professional guidance.Under the background of the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt,the content of career service of private universities in Shaanxi shifts from releasing employment information and organizing job fair to introducing employment policies and conditions to students,adjusting specialized courses,and cultivating innovative entrepreneurship talents mode.However,there are still many problems in career service system in private higher education institutions in Shaanxi,which depend on the number of students for survival.There is a lack of specialized personnel in career service agencies and the work content of career service is too simple.Career service is still based on traditional administrative management and all these problems restrict the effective implementation of career services in private colleges and universities in Shaanxi.By analyzing the successful experience of career services in colleges and universities both at home and abroad,we get the enlightenment of establishing a scientific career service system,building professional faculty and providing information technology support.Therefore,private colleges and universities in Shaanxi should clarify the division of labor in the three-level career service departments,strengthen faculty team building,establish career service teaching plan throughout the university education and strengthen career planning education,cultivate students' innovation and entrepreneurship,and improve the career service mode,so that private colleges and universities in Shaanxi can establish a more well-developed career service system.This paper studies the status quo of the student career service system of private higher education institutions in Shaanxi,and analyzes its existing imperfections as the basis for improvement.It also puts forward some practical measures to improve the employment rate of private university graduates in Shaanxi and promote the healthy development of private education in Shaanxi.
