| Chinese,as a mother-tongue education,not only cultivates students’ Chinese listening,speaking,reading and writing ability,but also carries national culture,humanistic spirit and value orientation.After the reform and opening-up,China is involved in the deepening process of globalization,and has increasing multi-cultural exchanges with the world.The foreign articles in the Chinese textbook is an important way to cultivate students with diverse ways of thinking.After the reform and opening-up,the foreign articles in the Chinese textbook of senior high school have experienced many changes,which not only show the social changes of the country in the multicultural era,but also reflect the attitudes and methods of the state to deal with the relationship between the national and the global discourse.To clarify the change trend and its features is helpful for high school language education research and development.It is also a reflection of national culture construction under the multicultural era.This paper takes the foreign articles in the Chinese textbooks of senior high school since 1978 as the object of study,combing and analyzing the trend,features and influencing factors of the selection.The first chapter introduces “People’s education press” versions of Chinese language textbooks since 1978 s.This gets it ready for the following illustrating in changes of foreign article selection and the overall change in Chinese textbooks.The second chapter analyzes the changes of foreign articles in the seven versions of Chinese textbooks since 1978.It analyzes them from the aspects of quantity,proportion,the country distribution,age distribution,style and exercises.The third chapter explores the factors that influence the change in foreign articles from politics and culture aspects.Political factors include the changes in national political discourse,international political relations.Cultural factors include China’s globalization process and the discussion of Chinese language education.By analyzing the changes in foreign articles in Chinese textbooks,it can be found that the state’s attitude towards the world’s multiculturalism is changing from rejection,rewriting to prudent opening.The compilation and teaching of foreign articles in the future textbooks should take the humanistic spirit as the starting point and the aesthetic value as the orientation.It should also adopt the cosmopolitan vision towards every nation’s ideology and culture,to help the students respect and accept inclusive world cultures.Students’ national self-identification will thus be established during the comparison with diverse world cultures. |
