Confucianism dates to pre-Qin period,and it played an important part in traditional Chinese culture and put a solid influence on forming our morality.It has become one mental bond in the birth and continuity of Chinese ideology and morality,and a metal reflection of their moral culture and finally more stable national psychology has been created.The ideology and morality advocated by Confucians in pre-Qin period,e.g.the world belongs to all,to be warm-hearted and filial piety and not be tempted by riches,are still in line with the spirits in nowadays society.While improving their ideology and morality,it provides abundant learning materials for young college teachers.Permeating excellent parts in Confucian moral education in pre-Qin into ideological and political education for young college teachers,will not only help improve their overall quality and effectiveness of the ideological and political education,but be more favorable to effective implementation of the core values of socialism with Chinese characteristics.Young college teachers are the backbone in colleges.So,their ideology and morality have direct impacts on the cultivation of national talents and colleges’ development.However,due to some negative influences from socialist market economy,some harmful ideas,e.g.utilitarianism,money worship and individualism,are imposing influences on people’s values.Inevitably,Young college teachers are also affected.At present,a series of problems among young teachers occurs in ideology and morality and it becomes an urgent task to get improved.This essay will take pre-Qin Confucianism as its main research material.First,it mainly explores and elaborates basic content,birth and development of the pre-Qin Confucianism,the essence and dross in ideas,as well as its value and practicalsignificance,which provide the theoretical basis for mastery of ideology and morality in pre-Qin Confucianism.Second,the author analyses current situations of young college teachers in ideology and morality by questionnaires,points out major problems in five aspects of benevolence,righteousness,courtesy,wisdom and faith,and finds out the causes of these problems.It is mainly due to society,colleges,young teachers themselves and other aspects.Third,by analyzing the ideology and morality of Confucianism in pre-Qin period,we summed up the influences on young college teachers in many aspects,e.g.it offers theoretical supports in concept,sets role models in their behaviors and provides references for their teaching ideas.Finally,it mainly analyses and summarizes the previous studies and investigations,raises countermeasures in promoting ideology and morality of young college teachers by pre-Qin Confucianism.They will get promoted in three aspects,e.g.the state put due importance on it,colleges strengthen their constrictions on ideology & morality and young college teachers put their personal efforts.
