The entry of foreign novels into high school Chinese language teaching materials is a long and tedious process.With the new round of Chinese language curriculum reform,following the principle of unifying the common foundation and diversity choices,elective courses are set in full swing."Appreciation of Foreign Novels" was published by the People's Education Publishing House and passed through examination and approval of the National Examination and Approval Committee for Primary and Secondary School Textbooks in early 2005.It is a module of the series "Fiction and Drama".At present,in Chinese language textbooks,the selection of foreign novels is relatively small,and the interpretation of some foreign novels that have been selected into teaching materials is based on a specific idea.The appreciation of works lacks the support of relevant novel theories."Appreciation of Foreign Novels" is divided into eight units according to the elements.In the style of arrangement,it tries to break the traditional teaching materials and adopt a separate framework.Although the teaching materials are positioned to be appreciated and used in the classroom,there are more "appreciation" and insufficient teaching for students and teachers.The phenomenon,however,"Foreign Novel Appreciation" selected as many representative texts from different regions of other countries as possible,and arranged and combined the effectiveness of the novel knowledge,breaking the disorder of traditional teaching materials;Compared with the past,the structure has also made breakthroughs,the layout is more scientific,and the unit styles are well connected.The background,arrangement and characteristics of composition of the “Foreign Novel Appreciation” and its constituent elements have distinctive characteristics,and it is of great value and significance to the preparation of teachers,students and teaching materials.Under the influence of the arrangement style of the “Foreign Novel Appreciation”,from the text selection system,the assistant reading system and the practice system,it is possible to obtain a feasible teaching strategy: “The part of the text selection system” is taught in the form of an example,with “One Belt One” teaching.The model can improve the students' appreciation ability and enable them to learn by doing.The “reading system part” can use the topic as a starting point to develop the “selected text+topic” teaching ideas and deepen the text through the link after class;The "parts" of the system "through thinking and practice" can find a variety of ways to enter the text for teaching,and can provide new ideas for composition teaching.
