Abstract/Summary:
The mathematical learning disabilities are widespread in each period.At the elementary school level,mathematical learning disabilities are concentrated in the upper grades,which is largely determined by the particularity of their school age.The mathematical learning disabilities of higher grades in primary school will not only cause pupils with insufficient mathematics attainment,but also limit the development of mathematics thinking and reduce their initiative in learning mathematics.It will also affect the enthusiasm of pupils in learning other subjects,which in turn will affect the overall learning effectiveness of pupils in primary school,and be harmful to lay a solid foundation for secondary school study.Therefore,it is practically necessary and imperative to study the phenomenon of mathematical learning disabilities in primary higher grades.Based on the actual situation of the Yantai educational system,a total of 146 students with 4th and 5th grade(3 or more times in a row)mathematics below the score line(60 points)in Yantai’s four primary schools were selected as research subjects.Using questionnaire survey,interview method,observation method and other research methods to investigate the current status of mathematical learning disabilities students at the senior high school level,analyze the reasons,and discuss the improved strategies.The study found:The status of mathematical learning disabilities students mainly includes the basic situation of students,performance at school,the completion of homework and the use of electronic products.Among them,the student’s own situation mainly includes differences of grades and gender,and the marginalization of seats in the class.The performance at school mainly include poor attention in classes,less interaction with teachers,and less opportunities for team cooperation.In terms of homework and electronic products,it mainly investigated the completion of homework and the use of electronic products.The mathematical learning disabilities students in the fourth and fifth grade at the four schools were affected by four aspects: students,teachers,families,and electronic products.For these reasons,try to propose targeted conversion measures:grasp critical periods,use mathematics to correct mistakes,enhance students’ effective self-hints and cooperation,and effectively solve the problem of low academic accumulation among learning disabilities students.The parents strive to create a family atmosphere for learning mathematics,actively participate in student learning,and cooperate with teachers which can effectively improve the quality of homework for learning disabilities students.The improvement of teacher education and teaching ability as well as giving students more attention and effective reward system can effectively enhance the confidence of mathematical learning disabilities students.Electronic products need to control the frequency of the use of mobile phones and give full play to the advantages of electronic products.So it will obviously help learning disabilities students to improve their academic performance.
