Maker education which focuses on training the learners’ abilitiy to innovate,the learners’ ability to solve practical problems,the learners’ ability to communicate and collaborate with others and other advanced capabilities has been widely recognized by researchers.There are great significance for cultivating the innovative and comprehensive talents which is urgently needed by the current society to initiate researches on maker education.While,maker education is a emerging thing which widely involves new knowledge,new fields and new technology so that maker education lacks the matched teaching philosophy and teaching mode.In this study,the literature research method has been used to combing the papers related maker education systematically.Then,we found that the researchers study maker education usually based on the results of the first stage of system science,such as the old-three-theory at present.System science has been largely pushed forward,and the self-organization theory which is the second stage research result of system science has already been widely used in various fields.Self-organization theory is the theoretical basis for connectivism,and it claim that the learning process of learners is the process of creating the knowledge networks,which has the distinct characteristics of the information age with digital network.Therefore,the relevant researches are urgently needed to be carry out.This study proposed to research maker education based on the methodology and epistemology of Connectivism firstly.And we explained the necessary to research maker education based on the Connectivism from the dimensions of Science,rationality and superiority.This paper has used the literature research method,the content analysis research method,the classroom observation research method,the questionnaire survey research method,the interview method,the comparative experiment method and other research methods to put forward the maker education teaching mode based on the Connectivism and then applied it to the course of the information technology foundation in the university.In order to evaluate its effectiveness,we conducted a second-factor experimental study for five weeks.The learners in the experimental group organized their learning activities based on the Connectivism maker teaching mode,while the learners in the control group organized their learning activities with the traditional teaching mode.The results of this study show that the maker education teaching mode based on the connectivism can improve the learners’ innovative ability and their self-efficacy.In addition,this paper found that this teaching mode was more effective for the learners with low self-efficacy.This thesis consists of six chapters:The first chapter: The introduction.Introducing the research background,the research status,the research purpose and research significance,the research methods and research framework.The second chapter: The basic theory.Discussing the basic view of maker education and Connectivism.And discussing the research of maker education based on the perspective of Connectivism.The third chapter: The construction of maker education teaching mode based on Connectivism.This chapter mainly includes the following three aspects.Discussing the necessary to study the maker education based on Connectivism.Discussing the guiding significance of the Connectivism for maker education.Constructing the teaching mode based on Connectivism.The fourth chapter: The practice steps of maker education teaching mode based on Connectivism.In this study,we put forward the maker education teaching mode based on Connectivism and then applied it to the course of the information technology foundation in the university.The learners in the experimental group learned with the teaching mode in three weeks.After each round of learning,the researchers have investigated the effect through class observation,interview and questionnaire survey.Then Analyzing the research results,reflecting the practice process and putting forward the improvement strategy.Then authors have carried out three rounds of effort to improve the maker teaching mode based on Connectivism.The fifth chapter: The analysis of experimental data.In order to evaluate its effectiveness,we have analyzed the learners’ innovation ability and self-efficacy based on the concept of second-factor experimental design.The analysis of learners’ innovative ability includes:The pre-test analysis of two groups of the learners’ innovation ability,the post-test analysis of two groups of the learners’ innovation ability,the two factors variance analysis of experimental group of learners’ innovative ability,the simple effect analysis of self-efficacy for learners’ innovation ability,the simple effect analysis of teaching mode for learners’ innovation ability and the analysis of interaction between self-efficacy and teaching mode.The sixth chapter: The summary and outlook of this study.Summarizing the research conclusion,the research innovation and the research deficiencies.Then forecasting the late research.
