The Study On Teachers' Professional Promotion Via Teaching Workshops

"He Ru Teaching Workshop" is the research object of this study.It promotes the professional development of teachers with the help of Teaching Workshops,and summarizes the basic role,the operating mechanism,the basic pattern,the main measures and characteristics of the Teaching Workshop.Most of all,it points out the existing problems and their reasons so as to discuss better strategies of promoting teachers' professional development.In addition,the study can also provide a reference for the Teaching Workshop to play a further role in promoting the teachers' professional development.The Teaching Workshop,which consists of leading teachers,relative prominent teachers and some young teachers,is a community of teaching,research and training.It has an effect on promoting teachers' professional development,which can provide learning resources for teachers,motivate teachers to share professional knowledge and experience,set up a platform for teachers to communicate and reflect,and make some research trainings on the internet.The workshop has its own operating mechanism,including the management mechanism,the operating process,the assessment mechanism and the security mechanism.And its basic mode is to make a joint development among teachers by teaching,researching and training.Besides,the workshop has taken the following main measures:discussing the development plan of the workshop,carrying out the all-sided training,setting up a multiple display platform and conducting an operational evaluation.What's more,its characteristics lie in the following five aspects:cultivating a shared vision and forming a cooperative culture,leading the members to interact and promoting a communicating and win-win situation,carrying out the reflective dialogue and encouraging the creation of new knowledge,giving a differentiated guidance and offering an effective help,making use of the cyberspace and sharing superior resources.In fact,there are some problems in Teaching Workshop,such as operative obstacles,lack of leading teachers,lack of the awareness of independent development of teachers and the gap between developing goals and realities.And these problems result from the following four aspects:leading teachers,exclusive teachers for the workshop,the operating mechanism,and the external support mechanism.How to solve the problems?On the one hand,they have to improve the internal operating mechanism and the external supporting mechanism.On the other hand,they have to promote the self-development of leading teachers and the professional development of exclusive teachers for the workshop.
