Composition teaching,which accounts for more than half of the time spent on Chinese language classes in China,has always been the focus of most regular high school Chinese language teachers.But what the students produce are far from satisfying.This research studies the present situation of high school composition teaching and the writer proposes some practical teaching strategies based on the research from the perspective of life.The research is done by the combination of survey research method and case analysis method.It refers to literature from different periods of time and is based on life experience and life perception.It is under the premise of education for life.It deals with the development trend of Chinese language,human society and cultural inheritance.Many teachers can not keep up with the latest education ideas and mostly focuses on theoretical guidance.Even if there is practice,the practice is often unorganized.High school students are developing maturely physically and mentally,but their thinking level is still not mature enough,which leads to immature and stereotypical outcomes.Their compositions do not have deep meanings and are terribly dull.The writer proposes that we should make both teachers and students aware of the importance of “life-writing”: they should return to life,have humanistic concern and the compositions should say what they mean.Only by doing so can students’ compositions become independent of the College Entrance Examination and become the real literature style that expresses the true meanings.
