In our country,with the constant deepening of new curriculum reform process,more and more schools' leaders and education researchers change their emphasis of cultivating the students from knowledge to qualities.Not only impart knowledge,but also the learning methods are important.It is aim to give the class back to the students,develop students' self learning ability and the capacity of lifelong learning.In the past,the study of learning qualities was universal and independence.In this paper,according to the current situation of primary school students' English learning qualities,the author explored the internal relation of positive quality and learning quality.By promoting students' positive qualities to influence the quality of learning,through this way,resolve the the practical English learning problems of primary school students.This paper mainly adopts literature research and questionnaire investigation.Due to the investigation ability was limited,the author selected three representative and conform to survey the present situation of school learning qualities.They are interesting in learning English,English learning initiative and group cooperative learning ability in English.The conclusion of this study is as follow:1.In terms of gender: In addition to the function understanding,male and female students in the total score of learning interest and its dimensions have significant differences.In addition to the direct learning needs and learning goals,male and female students in the total score of learning initiative and its dimensions have obvious differences.In addition to the cooperation atmosphere,male and female students in the total score of English group cooperative learning ability and its dimensions have obvious differences.2.In the aspect of different grade: Grade three students in English learning interest,English learning initiative and English group cooperative learning ability has the highest total score.The general tendency is the higher grade,the worse performance on the students in the three aspects of learning qualities.3.In the aspect of the correlation analysis of other variables: Age has negative correlation with English learning interest,English learning initiative and English group cooperative learning ability.It means this kind of relationship is minute and barely impact.Student achievement has positive correlation with English learning interest,English learning initiative and English group cooperative learning ability.Students which are with the higher grade,the better performance on the students in the three aspects of learning qualities.The students' English learning time and parents' guidance ability have negative correlation with English learning interest,English learning initiative and English group cooperative learning ability.The number of learning English textbooks only have an effect on the students' interest in learning English and little impact on the rest of the two learning qualities.According to the results of the empirical investigation,the study has give some effective learning strategies from the aspect of stimulating students' interest in learning,cultivate students' learning initiative and establish effective class English study group.The first,making a funny design in class.Though “curiosity” to improve interest.The second,increase the successful experience of students.Let the students regain the initiative learning beliefs.The third,through exercise the “students' perseverance”,they can keep on learning English and never give up.The fourth,cultivating students' ability to “cooperate”.This kind of positive quality can promote the student to carry on the cooperative learning.The fifth,by means of class activities,make students learn how to observe,learn and ask.It aims to accelerating the ability of solving the problem in the cooperation and how to use the language in life.In a word,the paper is combined the feasible theory knowledge with positive qualities cultivation method.Through this way,makes the students' learning qualities promoting in the aspect of intelligent factors,efficiency factor and potential factors.
