Teachers usually pay more attention to the core concept teaching in senior high school biology teaching whether in a traditional teaching model or in an innovative teaching model.Highlighting the core concept is one of the main characteristics of senior high school biology teaching with high quality factors.In this study,we will take the senior high school biology ‘molecule and cell' as an example.We attempt to explore the effect of the core concept teaching to improve the quality of biology teaching in senior high school through adopting the exploring teaching strategies based on the micro-lesson.This study adopts the method of literature research to analyze and expound the core concepts and micro-lesson concepts,relevant theories and research status.According to the General High School Biology Curriculum Standard in China(2017 Edition),the core concepts of the ‘molecules and cells' of biology in senior high school were figured out,and its system was established.According to the principle of micro-lesson design,the design procedure of the micro-lesson in the core concept teaching of biology in senior high school was formulated,and the case was provided.By using the experimental method to apply the micro-lesson case to teaching practice,this paper explores the influence of micro-lesson teaching based on core concepts on students acquisition of biological knowledge.Furthermore,cognition degree of students to the micro-lesson and its application way in the senior high school biology teaching was studied by a questionnaire survey approach.The results showed that the core concept system of ‘molecules and cells' in senior high school biology is mainly composed of 6 core concepts,17 important concepts,and 49 general concepts.The core concept of the micro-lesson teaching design process mainly includes 6 steps,namely,the preliminary analysis,teaching objectives,teaching design,micro lecture script design,micro-lesson learning task design,and teaching evaluation.Based on the micro-lesson,the core concept teaching has significantly improved the students' test results whether for preview previous class or review after class.The students have a high degree of recognition to the novel teaching of the mini class.The research results provide some reference for high school biology teachers to carry out the core concept micro-course teaching,and provide a new direction in development and utilization of the biology curriculum resources,and it is also a reference to the optimization of the senior high school biology teaching.In a word,the teaching of core concept can effectively improve the effect of biology teaching in senior high school based on micro-lesson.Compared with the traditional teaching methods,micro-lesson as a novel teaching method is easy to be accepted by the majority of students during the core concept teaching in senior high school.It is not only can effectively mobilize the enthusiasm of the students in study but also can help the students to construct the knowledge system of biology.
