| Vocabulary is the basic unit of the sentences and articles,also is an essential factor in language learning.If the language left the vocabulary as like "the water without source".So,the vocabulary is particularly important for people of learning a language,especially,it is more important for people of the first time to contact.language.The primary school English teaching in China,the importance of vocabulary is increasing year by year,experts pay more and more attention to vocabulary teaching,so vocabulary teaching methods are also gradually improve.Because of the teaching level is uneven each city,some areas are still using the traditional vocabulary teaching methods:force vocabulary on students by rote.But according to the elementary student’s psychological characteristics,interest is the best teacher for their study.This study,which is comparing experiment for Fujian province Fuzhou G primary school two class for Grade 3,and two classes’ students also carry on the questionnaire survey research and vocabulary test.Through the literature research,experiment,questionnaire survey,data analysis and other research methods,we can find that when teaching vocabulary through the TPR approach,it can stimulate student’s interest in learning English vocabulary,also it can improve the vocabulary learning ability and the level of learning vocabulary.Meanwhile,we realized that the insufficient of teaching approach in the primary school English vocabulary teaching,and puts forward some suggestions to the TPR approach was applied to vocabulary teaching.By studying we can draw the following conclusions:TPR approach plays a positive role in promoting students’ interest in vocabulary learning;TPR approach not only can promote the students’ interest in learning English vocabulary,but also can improve the level of students’ learning ability. |
