The Proposition And Action Of "Student-centered" Change In American Research Universities

"Student-centered" is an important theme of the current development of higher education.It takes the students' learning and development as the goal,achieving the changement from "teaching" as the center to "learning" and from "teaching mode" to"learning mode"."Taking students as the center" is to take the student as the main body in the whole learning process.Teachers make the student to be the knowledge seekers and construction,mobilizing the students' learning enthusiasm and initiative.Since the 1980s,American research universities take various measures and actions to carry out the campaign of "student-centered" to promote students' learning and growth.By adopting literature research and case analysis methods,this paper study the idea and action of"student-centered" in American research universities on the basis of its background and claims.Besides,the subject's gain and loss of "student-centered" were further discussed.Base on the discussion above,some inspiration for "student-centered" of American research universities to our countrys" education are proposed.
