| This thesis is to clarify how to analyze the alignment between the curriculum standards in different areas and the mathematical test paper in senior high school entrance examination? We analyze the standard-based alignments under the mathematical test papers from 2013 to 2016 in senior high school entrance examination between Shanghai and Xiamen via constructing the local model of Surveys of Enacted Curriculum(SEC).We try to explore the alignments and their differences between these two cities. Our main objectives are to facilitate the implement of standard-based teaching,to offer some useful data for guaranteeing that the curriculum standards can be fully carried out in teaching and designing the examination. We hope that the senior high school entrance examination can play the positive guiding role.We finally give some reasonable suggestions for the balanced development of compulsory education. This thesis constructs the new two-dimensional matrix frame for SEC based on the related existing references by studying the literatures. We then analyze the coding data of research objectives by statistical analysis method and obtain the alignment results. We further quantify these alignments in several different viewsusing comparison analysis methods and conclude the following results.Firstly,we find that there is not statistically significant alignment of implementing the curriculum standards between Shanghai and Xiamen. However, the degree of alignment is high and the mean of alignment coefficient is 0.86.We conclude that their entire designs of curriculums are similar in two cities and the main aim of exam is the command of the knowledge of "graphics and geometry" in level 3.Secondly,there is not statistically significant alignment between the recent four-year mathematical test papers in senior high school entrance examination and the curriculum standards in Shanghai. The mean of alignment coefficient is 0.61.We notice that one similarity between paper and curriculum standards is that the main aim of exam is command of the knowledge of "graphics and geometry" in level 3.Thirdly,there is also not statistically significant alignment between the recent four-year mathematical test papers in senior high school entrance examination and compulsory education curriculum standards in Xiamen. The mean of alignment coefficient is 0.56.We obtain a result that the main aim of exam does not align between two cases and it is only required to understand of the knowledge of "graphics and geometry" in level 2.Finally,there is also not statistically significant alignment between recent four-year mathematical test papers in senior high school entrance examination for Shanghai and Xiamen. The mean of alignment coefficient is 0.69.We conclude that the main aim of exam does not align in both cases. However, they are basically in some line in the knowledge of "numbers and arithmetic" and "data reduction, statistics and probability theory". |
