The Present Situation Of Primary School Students' After School Learning

With the emergence and continuous development of school education,the burden of schooling students in school is increasing with the increasing demands of students,parents,schools and society for the quality of education.Since the implementation of the new curriculum reform,China has introduced a number of educational policies for primary school students to reduce the burden.In order to implement the national policy and to improve the quality of education,a variety of elective courses were introduced into the elementary school curriculum.The teachers were asked to finish all teaching contents in limit time,which made it`s impossible to explore and deepen all the knowledge related with the teaching contents.The difference of the time table between the students` and the parents` have brought space for the development of the after school.This phenomenon of extracurricular tutoring has appeared and developed rapidly in the past ten years,however,this social phenomenon has not been fully researched.In order to understand the present situation of extracurricular tuition of primary school students,the author investigates 264 students,232 parents and some teachers of the A primary school in Harbin.The results of the survey were analyzed to understanding this in detail to understand the current situation,to explore the reasons,to summarize the problems and to solve the problems.This thesis was divided into four parts.The first part was the introduction which cover the background,the review and the methodology.The second part was the investigation of the present situation and the results of the survey.The third part summarized the existing problems and analyzed the causes of the problems.The last part presented the solution of existing problems from different views.In summary,this thesis presented the investigation of the status of the extracurricular tutoring in Harbin.Basing on the results,the author analyzed the survey results,summarized the existing problems,analyzed the causes of those problems and explored the countermeasures.This thesis supplied the students,the parents and the teachers a clearer and objective understanding about the extracurricular tutoring.
